Arley Hall

Arley Hall and Gardens, Cheshire

by Susan Keefe.

The beautiful and imposing Arly Hall is situated near Northwich, Cheshire http://www.arleyhallandgardens.com/ and is a cherished and much loved family home.

Steeped in a wealth of history, for over 500 years Lord & Lady Ashbrook’s family has owned the over 100 acre site of parkland and gardens. The garden famously has the first herbaceous border planted in England, and the whole garden is exceptionally rich in vitality and atmosphere. Also it is known for its unique Quercus Ilex Columns, and wonderful avenue of Pleached Lime trees.

There is a Sculpture Trail around the stunning woodland garden, which began in 2014, here are 40 sculptures, all of which are for sale. Detailed directions and opening times can be found here http://www.arleyhallandgardens.com/visit-us/
